    Educational programs for sustainability

World Water Day (March 22): The students analyzed various water samples and carried out chemical tests to assess water quality.
Earth Day (May 7): Students created posters on environmental issues.
Sustainability Week (May 22-26): The school organized a wide range of programs, including workshops on waste separation, games on biodiversity and visual projects.
Michelin visit (July 2024): Students visited a sustainable industrial plant.

2. Slovakia – project launch and waste separation

The school started an eTwinning project on sustainable development.
Criteria for the selection of students participating in the project were created and applied.
Waste separation bins were installed in the school to raise awareness of separate waste disposal.
TikTok videos about sustainable school life were produced.

3. Greece – Larissa

Environmental projects and research

  • “One drop, one life”: The pupils created a website about the importance of water.
    “The River of Larissa”: The pupils researched the ecological significance and history of the River Pinios.
    Visit to the botanical garden: Investigation of the regional flora.
    Truffle identification: During an excursion, the students identified different types of mushrooms and truffles.
    The power of water: visit to a watermill and lecture on sustainable energy.
    Sports activities along the Pinios river: running and exercise in nature.Final thoughts

The partner schools’ sustainability initiatives help students to develop a responsible and conscious mindset.

The aim of the project is to make these programs sustainable in the long term and to inspire future generations to develop an environmentally conscious lifestyle.
