For the importance of collecting and recycling of household oils were informed today, Friday morning students of the 1st Experimental High School of Larissa, in the informative action co-organized by the Cleaning and Recycling Directorate of the Municipality of Larissa and the Directorate of Secondary Education of Larissa, in the context of both the European Week of Waste Reduction (#EWWR 2024), and a range of actions in schools.
In our school we installed an orange bin for collecting used household oil and we are determined to “put the oil in”! Our action was accompanied by a team from the Municipality of Larissa led by the Mayor of Larissa, Th. Mamakos and the deputy director of the Secondary Education Directorate of Larissa, Mr. Nikos Zervas together with the head of educational programs D. Krommida. Then Mrs. Eleni Hautiki, deputy head of the department of alternative management and green points of the Municipality of Larissa informed our students about the way of collecting the oil, the necessity and what happens afterwards. This action is accompanied by general recycling actions that take place in our school through the Erasmus + programme entitled: “Gemeinsam die Zukunft gestalten -Shaping the future together” taking place this year.
