As part of the Erasmus+ week in April 2025, a total of 24 students from Hungary, Slovakia, and Italy participated in the program. The gender distribution reflected diversity as well: 64% were female, and 36% male. Most students were 16 or 17 years old.
During the program, the participants stayed with host families – an experience rated as “excellent” by the vast majority (80%). The overall feedback was overwhelmingly positive, clearly highlighting the openness, attentiveness, and hospitality of the families, which enriched the experience for all involved. Similarly high satisfaction was recorded regarding the hosting school: 84% gave it the highest or second-highest rating, and the remaining participants rated the school-related activities as good or appropriate. The work of the accompanying teachers was also greatly appreciated: 64% of students awarded them the top score, and all other responses remained in the positive range. This underscores the importance of the teachers’ presence, support, and professional leadership in ensuring the success of the week.
The program’s thematic components – particularly the focus on medicinal herbs and organic culture – were also highly valued. Nearly two-thirds of students gave high marks to the introductory session on herbs, and 80% found the workshops both interesting and useful. Many reported a significant increase in knowledge, while others noted broader personal growth. The organic culture module, which included both theory and practical workshops, was similarly well received. 40% awarded it the highest mark, and no one expressed dissatisfaction. Notably, 76% rated the workshops on organic practices as particularly successful.
A key section of the evaluation asked participants to rank the activities. The excursion to Makrinitsa and the hands-on experiences in Sykourio were consistently placed in the Top 3. The trip to the Meteora rocks and geopark also made a lasting impression. In contrast, the Diachronic Museum was more frequently ranked last, indicating it was perceived as less engaging.
Open-ended feedback revealed that for most students, the hike in Meteora, the natural surroundings, the exploration of Greek culture, and the host family stay were among the most memorable aspects. Many emphasized the positive emotional impact of the trip, the joy of meeting new people, and the shared experiences.
Regarding potential areas for improvement, most responses were cautiously neutral or positive. 40% explicitly stated that there was nothing they disliked. The few critical comments mainly referred to individual experiences, such as moments of discomfort or personal preferences in the program. Suggestions for improvement were minimal and related to minor organizational aspects, such as more evening activities, longer stays with host families, or additional free time.
Overall, the questionnaire results paint a picture of an extremely successful Erasmus+ week, rich in both academic content and human experience. Most participants not only had fun but also grew personally, made new friends, and left with lasting impressions. The feedback clearly shows that the program was well-structured, educationally meaningful, and socially inspiring – a shining example of effective international cooperation.
