On November 27, 2025, the final multiplier event of our Erasmus+ project took place in the auditorium of the Liceo Scientifico “Enrico Fermi” in Sciacca. The celebration was opened by the school principal, Maria Paola Raia, and was enriched by an emotional highlight: the school band accompanied the students of the Liceo Linguistico (language high school) in performing the European anthem “Ode to Joy” by Ludwig van Beethoven, based on the text by Friedrich Schiller, which was sung entirely in the original German language.

More than thirty personalities and stakeholders from Sciacca and the surrounding area attended the event, including representatives of the Sciacca municipal administration, members of various associations and local institutions, representatives of the security forces, the local parish priest, as well as principals and teachers from other schools. During the meeting, the project coordinator Maria Miceli and the students presented the activities carried out over the two years, involving approximately 100–150 young people from Italy, Greece, Hungary, and Slovakia.

Thanks to this sustainability project and all the related activities, which approached the topic from a comprehensive 360-degree perspective, the students reported that this journey was a fundamental tool for their personal growth. In addition to improving their language skills in German and English and stepping out of their comfort zone through cultural exchange and accommodation in host families, the young participants have truly changed their real-life behavior regarding sustainability. Through this project, all students of the school benefited and learned to act responsibly not only within the school community and the local environment but also within their families.

The initiative received significant media attention, as it was widely promoted and broadcast by local television channels and social media platforms, which reported on the achieved results. At the end of the day, all guests and students received a fabric bag with the project logo, and the school offered refreshments, further strengthening the bond between the school and the local community.
