Ιn 27 November 2025, our school hosted a Sustainability Conference as part of our Erasmus+ project “Shaping the Future Together – Creating a Sustainable World and Managing Change.” Partner schools from Hungary, Italy, and Greece also took part. Representatives of the local administration, environmental experts, as well as students and teachers from neighbouring schools were invited.

The conference was opened by the headmistress, Zuzana Čižmáriková, who spoke about the importance of the topic in today’s world and explained how Erasmus+ projects broaden the horizons of our students.

Other speakers included the project coordinator, Jana Palajová, who presented the project to the participants; Miroslav Lukniš, Sales Manager at General Plastic Kollárovo, who gave a talk on the processing of recycled PET materials; and Júlia Marušková, owner of the zero-waste shop “MAJÚ” in Nová Baňa, who explained how zero-waste stores operate and how waste can be reduced. Afterwards, students who had taken part in individual mobility projects presented their activities and shared their experiences.

The event concluded with a discussion round where participants had the opportunity to ask questions.
The aim of the conference was to present the sustainability project and the activities carried out within it, as well as to highlight the need for ecological and sustainable behaviour, which represents the only path to the future of our planet.
